If it's one thing I've learned running Alamo Digital Agency, a Digital Marketing Agency in McAllen, for the past 4 years is how to be efficient. I mean very efficient. I'm going to spill the beans in this article because I know this year has been one of the toughest years for businesses because of the Pandemic. In a way feel it in counterintuitive to give out this information because it can potentially put me out of business if any of my clients were to read what I talk about, but the future potential for businesses to survive brings me more value than anything else.
Truth is, it doesn't look like it's going away any time soon and rumors of another shutdown are imminent so actually implementing these insights will bring a ton of value to your business. If you have followed me over the past few years, you know that all I ever talk about is Marketing & Advertising in a Digital World and people are starting to listen.
An example of this is my Content Strategy for Car Dealerships I came up with in 2019. You can see it below in the "Ford Explorer Foodies" Video below and also a Collab video right below that. Right now there is a small Social Media Team having the best time of their young careers implementing a Content Strategy for Bert Ogden Dealerships across the Rio Grande Valley and they are KILLING it. What this does is it takes the "SELL, SELL, SELL" tactic and brings the potential customer along for the journey. If you can control the eye-balls, you can take them wherever you want. You can even sell them something along the way.
Key Members you need in your Digital Team and what they do. Project Manager Videographer/Photographer Content Writer Social Media Manager Advertiser Take it up a notch with Podcast
Let's cut to the chase so I can give you the value you came in here to get already. These are the key players you need so you're Digital Marketing Campaigns will have the highest chance of success. Truth be told that each team might have to wear many hats, but these are the key players you need, period.
1: Project Manager
The Project Manager will oversee all the projects in the queue from giving direction to each team member on certain tasks and deadlines, to making sure things don't fall through the cracks. Project Apps like ASANA and many others can be the hub of where everyone goes to check off their tasks. The Project Manager is the one making the calls to clients and making sure the vision of the Campaigns is implemented and continue going forward.
This role has tremendously changed over the past couple of years thanks to Social Media becoming an even bigger influence on the world. Videography & Photography have been on the back burner to the rise of the "Content Creator". For a Digital Agency to be fast and efficient, Videography & Photography have to be done by the same person, especially if you're trying to keep costs low. not only do they have to film, they need to edit, and in most cases understand how to create graphics for Video Content such as After Effects and Photoshop or something similar. It gives the Content a professional feel you won't have without it.
3:Social Media Manager:
The Social Media Manager is the one who is uploading content to the respected platforms. There are also jobs within this such as Content Writing so you can have a crafty text that goes along with your posts. You'll want to look for someone who is good at multitasking, has proper grammar, and can be nimble enough to gather "On the fly" Social Media Content such as IG Storied, FB Live, Snapchat, TikToks, etc...
The role of the Advertiser is to get all the content created and push it in front of the right audience. Ideally this person needs to have varied knowledge in how to advertise on multiple channels to give the Business an Omni-Channel approach to Advertising. This person must know how to read data and analytics, pull reports, educate clients on what is important and not, and be able to manage large budgets appropriately.
The role of the Content Writer is to be able to diversify. What I mean is, not everyone is on Social Media. There are still people out there who love to read the written word. This is an example of Content Writing. It does multiple things, it helps me rank higher on Google in my area by plugging in specific keywords like Alamo Digital Agency, Digital Marketing Agency in McAllen, Tx, to offering a more in-depth guide to certain insights. This works well when you don't have a spokesperson that is comfortable coming out on camera. It is also typically consumed by a different type of demographic. Depending on the market you are going after, readers typically end up being a higher income earner and are more open to trying things they read. There is just something about the written word that has more depth to it if it's done right.
This is a new concept for businesses because there just aren't that many Companies anywhere implementing a Podcast Strategy. What a podcast does is it gives an in-depth look at the Culture of the Business. It allows viewers to get an inside look at how the Owner, CEO, CFO, Guests talk, look and navigate their business. There are certain things you need for a successful podcast that I won't go into today, but if you are thinking about having a Podcast for your business, you better make sure it brings a ton of value to the listener. This Podcaster will have to know how to distribute podcasts to multiple platforms such as iTunes, iHeart Radio, Spotify, and much more.
